Sergeant Miller’s watch stopped working on Monday morning. He looked at it and saw the second hand was not moving. He tapped the glass, but nothing happened. The watch was old, but it was important to him because his father gave it to him ten years ago.
“Eight dollars,” Mrs. Clark said.
That afternoon, Sergeant Miller took the watch to a small shop near the base. The shop owner was an elderly woman named Mrs. Clark. She had fixed watches for over thirty years. Sergeant Miller showed her the watch and said, “Can you repair this?” alcpt form 47

That is an easy fix.” She opened the back of the watch, removed the old battery, and put in a new one. Then she set the correct time.
