This book won't teach you how to pass the exam overnight, but it is arguably the best resource for fixing the specific grammar errors that lower your IELTS score. If you know your grammar is shaky, buy this. If you are already strong on grammar (Band 8+), skip it and focus on past papers.

Buy it. Use it with a pencil (so you can erase and redo the exercises). And most importantly, – don't just read the book. Do that, and your grammar will genuinely improve for the real exam. However, I found the "Exam tips" boxes a bit repetitive

The book is split into 25 units, each targeting a key grammar area (tenses, modals, conditionals, passives, etc.). The genius is the "Test practice" section at the end of every unit. You don't just learn "present perfect" – you learn how to use it correctly in Writing Task 1 (describing change over time) or Listening Section 4 .

The (available via download or CD) is crucial. It covers the listening sections of the exercises. The speakers use natural British/Australian accents at realistic IELTS speeds.
