Empire Earth 2 Mac Review

I’ve been feeling nostalgic for Empire Earth 2 , but I’m now on macOS (Intel MBP / Apple Silicon). Before I go down a rabbit hole, has anyone had success running Empire Earth 2 on a modern Mac?

Also – does the unofficial fan patch (Unofficial Patch 1.2) help with Mac compatibility? empire earth 2 mac
