This episode succeeds at its primary goal—making the audience believe Kinn and Porsche are choosing each other despite the mafia world. It avoids the “forced proximity” trope by having Porsche initiate the kiss and Kinn initiate the commitment conversation. The action is visceral, the acting (especially Mile Phakphum as Kinn) shows new emotional depth, and the final scene is emotionally earned.
