(King of Amer), a wise but anxious ruler, sits on his throne. His hands tremble slightly as he holds a silk scroll sealed with the Mughal imperial emblem—a crescent and a sword.

Adham Khan steps back, silenced.

"They worship courage, Mahan Anga. And courage is the same language as faith. I do not want to rule ruins. I want to rule hearts. If marrying a Rajput princess brings the mighty Rajputs to my side without a drop of blood... then yes, I will do it."

Akbar laughs, a deep, genuine laugh.

"My child, I will not force you. I would rather die."
