I thought it was a prank. A sound design flex. I dragged it into the playlist. Sped it up 200%. Reversed it. Threw on a low-pass filter. Normal producer stuff.

I shouldn’t have clicked. NF kits are usually just the same hard kick, a snare with too much reverb, and a choir pad. But this one was 2.7GB. Too big.

Last night, I saw the waveform. On my desktop. A new file named “answer.wav.”

I downloaded it. The folder was clean. No weird file names. Inside: Kicks (27), Snares (18), Hats (43), and then a folder labeled I thought it was a prank

Inside were 12 audio files. Not one-shots. Long .WAVs. Three minutes each. I loaded the first one. Just static. Then a whisper: “Why are you here?”
