Resident Evil- Welcome To Raccoon City ✦ Recommended & Real

Okay, hear me out. This isn’t the Milla Jovovich action spectacle. This is slow-burn survival horror dripping with 90s grunge, claustrophobic hallways, and actual practical effects that made me jump.

Things that didn’t: ❌ The pacing is frantic – they crammed RE1 + RE2 into 107 minutes. ❌ Leon is basically a meme. Robbie Amell tried, but that haircut is the real villain. ❌ Claire and Leon have zero chemistry, which is wild considering their whole dynamic in RE2. Resident Evil- Welcome to Raccoon City

Things that worked for me: ✅ The Spencer Mansion sequence – dark, rainy, full of trap doors and dread. Finally felt like the first game. ✅ Lisa Trevor. That’s it. That’s the point. 💀 ✅ Cheesy one-liners that feel straight out of a PS1 cutscene (“Sorry, but your welcome wagon is out of gas.”) ✅ Zombies that just stand there and stare before sprinting? Terrifying. Okay, hear me out

🧟‍♂️ Just watched Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City – and honestly? It’s messy, campy, and I kinda loved it.

Who else actually enjoyed the chaos? 👇

If you want a slick blockbuster, skip it. If you want a love letter to the OG games—fixed camera angles, creepy dolls, key cards, and a typewriter save room—this is your B-movie masterpiece.
