A Shimeji (pronounced shee-meh-jee ) is a free, open-source desktop buddy application originally developed for Java. Once downloaded and run, a character—usually an anime-style chibi—wanders around your screen, interacts with your mouse, climbs windows, multiplies, and performs various idle animations.
