The UMIK-1 is a popular, calibrated USB measurement microphone designed primarily for acoustic measurements (room correction, speaker measurement, SPL calibration). It’s plug-and-play on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
The UMIK-1 can work on Android, but it loses its main advantage (easy calibration + REW integration). It’s best reserved for PC use. If you must measure on Android, buy a TRRS mic like iMM-6 or use the UMIK-1 only for uncalibrated real-time analysis.
