(Camera opens on JESS, 20s, holding a fishing rod in one hand and her phone in the other. She’s standing on a small wooden dock. Her friend, LEO, is already in a tiny rowboat, trying to untangle a life jacket from a seagull.)
(without looking up) “We’re on a lake, Jess.”
(Leo leans over to grab the phone. He slips. His foot lands in a bucket of bait. Worms fly everywhere. One lands on Jess’s head.) Today, we’re going fishing
(The boat slowly spins in a circle. A fish jumps out of the water, hits Leo in the chest, and falls back in.)
(She steps into the boat. Leo rows them about 10 feet from the dock.)
